Class 1 – 16/4/2012 @ Abbotsford Convent Collingwood
This is about 1st impressions. At this stage I’m thinking that it will be good if you each make some work that responds to the following:
· an aspect related to the ‘history’ of the space
· a mood/atmospheric/impressionist ‘experimental piece
· a geo-locational ‘game’
So … I would like you to keep these things in mind as you wander around the site.
Each to produce a (at least) 500 word blog entry.
1. take at least 5 images of the site that help illustrate your 1st impressions of the site (not just wide angle shots of the location)
2. take note of the ‘feelings’ the site evokes
3. are there any parts of the site that feel ‘uncomfortable’ – why?
4. what part of the site is the most interesting to you – why?
5. record any ideas that emerge whilst wandering around
